I. Introduction:
With the development of industrial technology and the growth of steel structure engineering, petrochemicals, energy, power, metallurgy, aerospace, and other fields, corrosion problems are becoming increasingly severe, with some environments reaching severe corrosive conditions. Heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings refer to coatings that can be applied for long periods in relatively harsh environments, maintain a good film condition, and possess stronger corrosion resistance than conventional anti-corrosion coatings.
II. Product Description:
Heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings have the following characteristics:
A、 Heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings must be a composite coating system. Practice has shown that hundreds of types of heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings produced by domestic and international coating manufacturers need to adapt to cross-sea bridges, harbor projects, offshore platforms, various storage tanks, and large steel structure projects. They often require several coats to form a heavy-duty anti-corrosion composite coating system. This means that high-performance primers, intermediate coats, and topcoats must each perform different functions to maximize the overall effectiveness of the composite coating.
B、Heavy-duty anti-corrosion and rust prevention specific Primer : Primer is the coating that directly contacts the steel surface and is an important foundation of the entire coating system. The primer should have good wettability and adhesion to the steel surface, and firmly adhere to the topcoat; the film-forming substance should have a barrier function against water, oxygen, and ion permeation; the pigment should have a corrosion inhibition function and cathodic protection function. Only by possessing these basic functions can steel be protected from rust caused by natural factors. When paired with a special fluorocarbon topcoat, it prevents the formation of corrosion cells on the steel surface or stops the progression of corrosion, and also offers excellent outdoor weather resistance.
C、Special Topcoat: The topcoat contains a higher proportion of corrosion-resistant resin and is the outermost layer of the heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating system. Its main function is to prevent chemical media, chemical fumes, water, and gases from corroding steel, to prevent UV radiation from degrading the resin in the paint film, and to extend the protective service life and lifespan of the coating. Through the manufacturing of various colored topcoats
serves as aesthetic decoration and a recognizable mark.
D、 Heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings Low solvent content, high solid content. Compared to conventional coatings, theoretical spreading rate is higher, paint consumption per unit area is lower, reducing costs; because heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings form a thicker film in one application, fewer applications are needed, coating cycle is shorter, and total coating cost is lower.

III. Construction Requirements and Plan:
1. Construction Conditions: ① .Air spraying, recommended nozzle diameter: 1.7-2.3mm , spray pressure: 0.25-0.65MPa
② .Airless spraying, recommended nozzle diameter: 0.4-0.5mm , spray pressure: 16MPa
③ .Brush coating and Roller Coating
④ . Construction interval; 23 ± 2 ℃ 20min above
2. Surface treatment: ①. Before use, the surface of the coated metal steel structure should be treated. The substrate must be clean and free of oil stains. After degreasing, decontamination, rust removal, grinding, priming, and other preceding processes are completed and thoroughly dried,
② . [Heavy-duty anti-rust and anti-corrosion primer: anti-corrosion primer specific hardener: universal thinner], according to 5:1:3 ratio, dilute and spray on the surface of the steel structure substrate. After the surface dries, { the interval time is 60 minutes ( 25 ℃) } later
③ . Then use topcoat 。
4. Construction environment: Construction environment: Ambient temperature: 5~35℃; Relative humidity: ≤ 80%; The surface of the steel structure should be at least 3℃ above the air dew point temperature; Construction is not recommended in strong winds, heavy rain, snow, or foggy conditions.
5. Drying time, h : Surface dry ≤ 2 h; Hard dry ≤ 24h ; ( 25 ℃± 2 )
6. Tool cleaning: After cleaning with heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating specific thinner, solvent recovery .
V . Precautions:
1. Storage conditions: Store in a cool and dry warehouse.
2. The coating storage period is more than one year; expired coating should be inspected before use.
3. After opening the can, the coating should be thoroughly stirred to prevent pigment settling and color difference.
4. Paint, hardener, and thinner should be sealed and stored in a cool place, fire-proof, leak-proof, sun-proof, high-temperature-proof, and away from ignition sources.
5. After mixing paint and hardener, it must be used within 4 hours to avoid affecting the effect.
6. Operators should wear safety masks and gloves, avoid contact with skin or eyes. If accidentally contacted, rinse with clean water.
